Sip a glass of wine before being swept away by this quirky, charming French take on the work of the greatest English writer of the Regency period at an Alliance Française French Film Festival Spéciale Event screening of Jane Austen Wrecked My Life!

Desperately single, Agathe (Camille Rutherford) is lost in a sentimental, fantasy world searching for love worthy of a Jane Austen heroine. Dreaming of becoming a writer, she instead spends her time working at the legendary British bookshop, Shakespeare & Co. in Paris with her charismatic best friend (Pablo Pauly, Murder Party, AF FFF24). 

Invited to a Jane Austen Writers Residence in England, she finally has the chance to fulfil her ambition of becoming a novelist, if she can only overcome her crippling imposter-syndrome and an annoying romantic distraction with the handsome yet prickly Oliver Lowe (Charlie Anson, Downton Abbey).
